It is a great honor
to announce the Twelfth Annual PhD Project Finance Doctoral Student Association (FDSA) Conference.
This year’s conference will be held in Waikoloa, HI at the Hilton Waikoloa Hotel, June 20-23, 2008,
just prior to the 2008 Western Finance Association (WFA) Meeting. Please see the tentative FDSA
conference agenda for more details.
The PhD Project FDSA conference provides a national networking opportunity for African-Americans,
Hispanic-Americans, and Native Americans in the process of pursuing doctoral degrees in Finance at
universities in the United States of America
As in past years, we will kick off the
conference with mock interviews for Emerging Students planning to go on the market in
2008. The mock interviews will begin late Friday afternoon, June 20.
We also invite you to join African-American,
Hispanic-American, and Native-American Finance faculty, as well as, invited editors from
various Finance journals at The PhD Project Dinner on Sunday, June 22, at the Hilton Waikoloa
Village. This dinner has proven to be a wonderful opportunity for doctoral students to network,
form mentoring relationships, and celebrate the accomplishments of our FDSA members and friends.
All eligible students will
receive a personalized email invitation by April 21. Please read your registration information carefully. If you have not received your email invitation by April 28, please contact Anita English, acenglish@kpmg.com.
The Planning Committee is enthusiastic about this conference and look forward to seeing you there. Aloha!
